Ensuring Food and Nutrition Security in the Post-2015 Agenda

World Food Programme Tent

Davos, Switzerland

January 25, 2014

  • 12:00 – 1:30 pm (Europe/Zurich)
  • 6:00 – 7:30 am (US/Eastern)
  • 4:30 – 6:00 pm (Asia/Kolkata)

As the deadline for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) approaches, policy discussions on the Post-2015 development agenda, including the upcoming Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), have gained strong momentum. These discussions put sustainable development at the center and give focus to the goal of eradicating extreme poverty. The goal of eliminating hunger and ensuring food and nutrition security is equally important. This multistakeholder dialogue will offer an opportunity to bring together different perspectives and approaches on how to ensure adequate attention to food and nutrition security in the post-2015 framework.
