Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

New Aquaculture Economy Emerged on Rising Fish Demand (Myanmar Times)

Myanmar Times published an article on the country’s emerging aquaculture economy. The article, based on findings from a latest IFPRI research by Mateusz Filipski, explored how domestic demand for farmed fish in the country rose substantially in the last decade which led to not only a boom in the aquaculture-related businesses along the value chain, but also innovation in farming and technology.
