Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Poultry industry faces jeopardy (Bangla Tribune)

Bangla Tribune reported on the poultry industry including production and consumption of eggs. Due to rise of the price of raw materials, advance income tax and corporate tax, the poultry industry is in jeopardy. Poultry businessmen have requested tax exemption till 2030. An IFPRI study about egg consumption stated that an adult person should consume 104 eggs on average per year but adults in Bangladesh eat only 50-60 eggs.
