Samuel Benin

Samuel Benin is the Acting Director for Africa in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit. He conducts research on national strategies and public investment for accelerating food systems transformation in Africa and provides analytical support to the African Union’s CAADP Biennial Review.

Kashmir News Service published an article about SKUAST-J’s International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture. Senior research fellow and Senior Director for Food & Nutrition Policy, Purnima Menon was one of the keynote speakers. Menon and her colleagues said a collaborative approach is in need of holistic development and nutritional security and those should be the top priorities of every nation. Menon added, “Millets can play a vital role in addressing malnutrition problems but it should be worked along with cereals and not in isolation.”
